Being outside was such a relief for her, no longer being cooped up in the halls that reeked more of humans than it did of wolves. She took in a deep breath, enjoying the smells of the night and the fire, listening to the wood crackle and pop. Reminded her of home, before everything bad had happened. She sighed, laying back on the ground, not caring that her hair would get dirty. She was an animal after all.
She stretched out, debating on going hunting or not. She was worried she might kill a member if she did at the moment until she got all of their scents straight, so she kept to the ground, looking up at the sky that was no where near like the one on Earth. Beautiful still, but not the same. She stifled a yawn. It was quite the boring place, so far, though... she had at least met one interesting character here, so far.

Massive paws touched down on the earth, muscles coiling to propel the kitsune forward in large leaps and bounds. The half eaten carcass of a white-tailed deer was clamped between his jaws as he made his way towards the fire pit. Sleek pelt of ebon stretched across that sinewy frame while his tail, his paws and his ears were streaked in a dark crimson shade. He picked up the scent of a stranger as soon as he entered the clearing, but gave no pause in his stride as he padded over to the fire. Judging from his size and colors alone it was quite easy to tell that he was no ordinary fox. His current size rivaled that of an adolescent elephant.
Dropping the deer carcass down, a faint purple light spread over his entire form as he shifted. At first glance he could certainly pass for a human, though some of his more significant features suggested otherwise. The auditory domes that served as ears rested in plain sight atop his head, furry and a hundred percent fox-like. Piercing, silver hues gazed around the fire pit in search of something. Eventually they came to settle upon the female, or next to the female rather. He closed the distance between them with long, purposeful strides and came to a halt next to her.
"You're in my spot." He declared in a flat, even tone. As if to prove his point he leaned down and picked up what looked like a cooking pot and a wooden spoon. Evidence to show that he had been occupying this spot earlier. He stared down at her with a passive expression, though it was fairly obvious that he was waiting for her to move.

She laughed. "Awww, you going to cry like a baby or are you going to change spots? Because I'm not moving." She moved her eyes from the sky, hues brown at first but as they landed on him the were a golden yellow. She sniffed a bit and grinned. "You know, fox meat is absolutely delicious in a stew with deer meat." Her tone was anything but threatening, more friendly than not, but there was a dangerous undertone to it. She sat up and her eyes moved to his kill before she shook her head.
"Even a fox smaller than you could have snagged a better kill." She then moved her eyes to the fire, grinning all the while.

Eyes narrowed at the female, the sudden change in his demeanor was a good indication that he was annoyed. More so by her refusal to move than by her idle threat, which he didn't see as a threat at all. A foolish pup she was. So this was Daijiro's pack mate, the one who would be contending for the alpha position against him. This might actually prove to be interesting. He made a mental note to keep track of their progress, more for his amusement than anything else.
"Strange you should say that. I've acquired a taste for wolf meat myself. Though, scrawny as you are I doubt you'd make much of a meal. A sport, now that might be possible. How fast can you run?" The smirk that followed his question allowed those ivory canines to protrude forward. He offered no warning before he dropped the cooking pot directly over her head. "Move."
He was encased in a purple glow, the source of his magic pulsating with energy as the air filled with soft, cracking sounds from the currents of electricity that now circulated through the light. Kei obviously had no intentions of repeating himself after this. Neither did he respond to her comment about a smaller fox being able to snag a better kill. It was contingent upon their body size and the form that they took when they hunted.

She snapped her hand up to grab the pot and slam it to the ground. "Please, puppy. Why don't you go pick on someone who might actually be frightened by you." She rolled her eyes and laughed. "Wolf meat is tender, and sweet, I'll give it that." She shifted to where she was looking right at him and grinned. "Want me to move? Then make me, puppy."
A light yellow aura moved around her body as the shift took place. Loud cracks and pops could be heard as her body changed, grew, and molded into her favorite of her three forms. The wolf. Her coat was long, fluffy, shiny, not like your average unkept Garoux. No, she was a Loup-Garoux, second highest class in the Garoux lines. She gave a wolfy grin and shot her head to the side, pointing towards the woods. Want to play a game of chase?
Yes, a challenge is what she just delivered. Shove that in your pipe and smoke it, foxxy-boy.

The only noticeable reaction he offered to the smashed pot and her provoking words rested in the slightly arched brow. Though he made it a point to watch her transformation he already knew what to expect. Her scent gave it all away. Her question was met with a smirk. Slight tilt of his head was given as he studied the female for a moment. Never one to pass up on a challenge he shifted to the same demon fox form that he arrived in, though he purposely restricted himself to match her size.
"We'll see who the puppy is." Fangs were bared as a low growl emitted from the back of his throat. It was none too threatening, as he was anticipating a good chase. Not that he intended to limit this challenge to just a simple chase. No, that would be dull. He launched himself towards the female, ramming into her shoulder with a head butt before he turned and took off into the woods. He was fairly certain that she was not going to stand for that, and he was counting on it. Let the chase begin!

She let out a small grunt when he rammed into her and as quick as he took off, she turned on her hutches and shot off after him. She was not that easy to disorient. She hurtled after him, picking up speed with each paw hitting the ground and she wasn't going to slow down either. No, she was going to plow right into the little fox. She lurched forward to gain more speed and was soon on his heels.
She jumped forward, landing with her whole body on top of him and rolling to a stop before she jumped to her paws again and snarled, but it was more like a laugh than something menacing. She charged at him again, jumping to sink her teeth into he's big fox ear and pull him by it.

The purpose of ramming her in the shoulder wasn't to disorient her. If he had wanted to do that he would've sank his teeth into her flesh to draw blood. Or attempted something else more serious than a mere head butt. He was hardly a little fox. His size and weight were similar to her own at the moment and he was capable of increasing his size until he reached his true form. Weaving through the woods deftly he was made aware of her close proximity when he picked up her scent once more. Rather than speeding up, he maintained his current pace and allowed the female to catch up to him. He'd much rather be the one doing the chasing.
When she landed on his back he twisted around with a growl. By then she had already disengaged but started to charge him once more. Ears were flattened against his cranium as he bristled. Once his ear was caught between her teeth he growled once more and tackled her into the ground. He swiped at her muzzle with his paw to try and get her to release his ear. If that didn't work he snapped his jaws towards her shoulder and sank his teeth in. This was hardly a fight to the death. More like just a show for superiority, and maybe, just maybe, a hint of play behind it.

His swipe to her muzzle wasn't going to do much, but when he bit into her shoulder she let go and a small yelp escaped before she growled and moved her head to stink her teeth into his throat. Once she felt like her grip was tight enough to toss him, but not enough to kill, she spun him around and threw him towards the nearest tree.
She snarled at him before she lunged, pinning him to the tree she threw him at. If it was superiority he was trying to prove, he was going to be fighting until one of them were dead, so he might as well just chalk it all up to play. Stevie-rae didn't stop. She bared that wolfy grin again before she licked the side of his neck and jumped back.
Taking a few more backwards steps before she took off back towards the clearing. If it was a chase he wanted, then he was going to get one.

Having left himself exposed when he bit into her shoulder he was not surprised when she went after his throat. He would've been sorely disappointed if she hadn't. Instincts and tactics called for such a maneuver and he would not have hesitated to make that move himself. What he hadn't been expecting however, was to be thrown into a tree. The collision did not injure him in the least but he was caught by surprise and tumbled a bit before rolling back onto all fours. So she had some strength behind that form after all. Interesting.
Lips curled back into a snarl, crimson hues flashing for an instant. Jaws snapped at her muzzle when she approached him before he matched her wolfy grin with a foxy one. Shaking his fur out to rid himself of the leaves and twigs that collected on his ebon pelt, he stared at the female as she started to move backwards and then eventually take off towards the clearing. That bushy tail swayed once behind him before he propelled himself forward, paws touching down on the earth with blurring movements as he chased after her.
Apparently they were about evenly matched in speed because it wasn't long before he caught up to her. He chose a different approach and decided instead to pull up alongside her, but not before nipping at her flank. Without warning, he rammed his body against hers. How fortunate that there was a lake nearby and he sent the female tumbling in that direction and into the cold water.

Luckily the nip at her flank didn't really phase her, but when he came up beside her she had an idea about what he was going to do next. And when he came in to ram her, she slammed her paws down into the dirt, digging deep into the earth and coming to a quick halt. His back half had still managed to hit her, so she fell over, only to quickly roll over to all fours again.
She moved quick, going after him only to plow into him again, causing them to roll a few times. When the rolling had ceased, she was on top of him, pinning him to the ground, grinning all the while. Pinned ya.

He was mildly impressed that she had been able to react and counter with such little warning. Though, his intentions were quite clear from the way he pulled up alongside her. Once the tumble and roll came to a stop he twisted his body to try and get back onto all fours. That maneuver seemed to have worked in her favor however, and he now found himself peering up at the female. Her words brought forth a smirk and he cocked his head, causing those ears to flick.
"Do you now?" With a grin, he butted her under the jaw then used his hind legs to push up. He twisted his body once more, intent on throwing her off him. There wasn't as much force behind it as one would've thought. It was just a quick and effective move to escape being pinned. Once he was standing again he shook out his fur, piercing gaze still firmly affixed to the female. He stared at her for a long moment and then finally, he dropped back onto his haunches and sat. This reminded him of when he was a kit and how he used to mess around with his siblings and the other kits in the den.
His trip down the memory lane was cut short when he realized the female was still here. No sense in dwelling on the past now. His siblings had all but abandoned these lands. He had stayed and turned things around for their clan. Another smirk was given to her. "Name?" He inquired in that flat, even tone which suggested that he didn't care one way or the other if she answered. Though it was a common misconception. That was just the way he talked.

It didn't take much to push her off, and when he did she rolled back on to all fours and eyed him for a moment before she flopped down on her belly and lolled around. Didn't matter to her what he thought. A wolf was a wolf, and a wolf loved the dirt. My name? Now you wanna know my name? She let out a bark like laugh and moved to lay flat on her stomach, glancing up at him. My name's Stevie-rae. And you are?

Although he was less than likely to be caught rolling around in the dirt in such a manner he could not criticize her for doing so. The earth provided more than just shelter. Together with air, it was the source of all living things and all natural energy were drawn from it. Neither her laugh nor her question elicited much of a response from him. He merely waited for an answer. When she finally complied with his request he gave a slow nod.
"That is a strange name. Where do you come from?" He cocked his head to the right and flicked his ears, still very much aware of their surrounding despite fixating most of his attention on her. When she asked him who he was he offered a smirk before replying. "I am the clan leader of the Inari Kitsune." Slight pause. "But my name is Kei."

She threw her paws over her muzzle and snorted. I come from Earth. I was born in Bucharest, Rome but my parents wanted to break from the pack so we moved to America. We lived in Massachusetts most of my life, but four years ago we had returned to Bucharest because my uncle was killed and my father was the Alpha who was next in line. Three years later the whole pack was slaughtered by humans. My brother and I were in Rhy'Din, studying magic. We're the only ones left of our bloodline that we know of. [/i] She let out a sigh before she moved back up on all fours. Well, it was nice meeting you Kei. She didn't care if he was a clan leader or not, really. He just was, to her.
